Macintosh 30th Anniversary Poster

This project was centered around using concepts from stylists that use primarily the font Helvetica to send a message. To stick to the theme, I used only a few colors, exact alignment, and, of course, Helvetica. I tried four different designs until I decided that this one was the most intriguing. The most challenging part of this project was finding a creative way to manipulate the words.

Retro Karting Poster

For this project, I toggled back and forth between Illustrator and Photoshop to design the different type layers. I used special brushes to paint on all of the pink and the elliptical marquee tool to round off the bottom one. For the Chris' Stag Do banner, I used illustrator to curve the words and made the checkered flags. The man on the kart is a mixture of blend modes to create the old-style printed look. Overall, this project was fairly simple, but I struggled with using Illustrator and finding proper fonts for this poster.
